THE cast and crew of the film ‘Tein Pachi’ (Art of Cloud) donated K110 million as an electricity donation to the Aungmyay Zeyyamanizawtayama Monastery (Thitaga) in Hlinethaya Township, Yangon Region, on 20 January.
The donation was made on behalf of the audience who supported the film. Brave Empire Entertainment and Production, the director and actors participated in the charitable event, according to actor Aye Chan Maung.
“On behalf of the audience who supported and enjoyed the movie, Brave Empire Entertainment and Production family including the producer, director and actors donated K110 million to assist in the construction of a new monastery in Bago. This donation specifically covers the cost of electricity installation. May all the viewers who watched the movie equally share in this merit,” said actor Aye Chan Maung.
The ‘Art of Cloud’ film is an adaptation of a renowned novel by Ham Sai (Saymann). The screenplay was written by Aye Thiri Ko and the film was directed by Pwint Theingi Zaw (Aryon Oo).
The movie features a stellar cast including Aye Chan Maung, Academy Award winner Wutt Hmone Shwe Yi, Nay Myo Aung, Si Phyo, Nyi Nanda, Academy Award winner Melody, and Hnin Ya, artistes among others. It has also been included in the list of 18 films shortlisted for the second round of judging for the 2024 Myanmar Motion Pictures Academy Awards.
