MALICIOUS news media falsely reported that security forces fired heavy weapons at Sagyin Village in Madaya Township, Mandalay Region, killing three civilians, including a child, and burning villages.

A local security official clarified that no such attacks happened. Security forces are only targetting areas where PDF terrorists are hiding are combing the area according to the law. The official also stated that there was no unnecessary burning or destruction of villages. Instead, terrorists have been burning villages and killing civilians who do not support them.

The false reports aim to cover up these acts and create misunderstandings about the efforts of security forces working to keep the area peaceful.
