THE Myanmar Motion Pictures Organization (MMPO) provides cash assistance to elderly artistes aged 75 and above, according to MMPO Vice-Chair U Aye Kyu Lay.

“We provide monthly cash assistance to 50 senior artistes, and the payments for November began on 3 December,” U Aye Kyu Lay explained.

During the 104th Myanmar Motion Pictures Day and the 47th Respect-Paying Ceremony for Aged Film Artistes on 13 October, the MMPO also contributed K400,000 in cash, along with foodstuffs and medical supplies, to each of the elderly artistes.
