According to the elephant camp, preparations are underway at the Palin Kanthaya Elephant Camp for tourists who will come during the upcoming Tazaungdine festival.

“During the coming Tazaungdine, the elephant camp will provide services similar to those provided to guests. They can feed and ride the elephants. In addition, small tents have been prepared so that the guests can rest. We have also expanded the photo shooting area on the banks of the Ayeyawady River, including other necessary things. For public knowledge about elephants, the elephant museum has been opened for those who want to study. There are some examples of our preparations in advance,” said U Myo Min, head of Palin Kanthaya Elephant Camp.

Moreover, local food will be arranged for visitors to buy at a low price.

“In terms of food, for some guests from Bagan-NyaungU to eat, we have extended the service from the elephant camp, including affordable rice and curry of upper Myanmar. Tourists can rest and eat in the tents with their families. Coffee or cold drinks are also arranged,” he said.

During the last Thadingyut holidays, the number of visitors to the Palin Kanthaya Elephant Camp has increased, and it will be the same in the coming Tazaungdine festival.

“During the Thadingyut, the arrival of tourists to the elephant camp increased. It is expected that there will be increasing numbers of visitors during the upcoming Tazaungdine. As for the elephant camp, it is expected that many pilgrims will also visit here,” he said.
