MYANMAR Consul-General in Nanning, Daw Khaing Su Linn, participated in the 3rd International Summit on BDS (Beidou Navigation Satellite System) Application, held at the Zhuzhou Exhibition Centre in Zhuzhou City, Hunan Province, on 24–25 October.
At the summit’s opening ceremony, addresses were given by Mr Mao Weiming, Deputy Secretary of the Hunan Provincial Party Committee and Governor of Hunan Province; Mr Xu Chenggu, China’s Deputy Minister of Transport; Ms Aarti Hollon-Maini, Director of the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs; Mr Wang Song, Deputy Director of China’s Cyberspace Administration; and Mr Xiang Libin, Deputy Director of the National Development and Reform Commission. The event drew over 1,300 notable attendees, including diplomats, academics, and representatives from research institutions, organisations, and companies across China, the African Union, Russia, Laos, South Korea, and France.
On 25 October, delegates visited CRRC Zhuzhou Locomotive Co Ltd. (CRRC ZELC), CRRC Research Company, the CRRC Electric Vehicle Production Unit, and the State Grid (Zhuzhou) Corporation for a study tour.
