MALICIOUS media outlets intentionally spread false information, claiming that, security forces detained 50 people as hostages and killed 22 civilians in Butalin township of Sagaing Region.

According to the security officer, security measures were taken as usual to curb the entry of insurgents and terror attacks in Butalin Township, Sagaing Region. There was no abduction and murder cases. PDF terrorists brutally murdered six innocent people in Sipa Village, Butalin Township, and the State-run media already announced that news on 21 October.

Subversive media outlets intentionally spread fake news to mislead the people about security forces, to cover terror attacks of terrorists, to instil fear among the public and to jeopardize the State’s stability.
