THE Ministry of Transport and Communications celebrated 2024 World Post Day in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
It was attended by Deputy Ministers U Lu Mon and U Aung Myaing, Deputy Minister for Education Dr Zaw Myint, relevant officials, award recipient students and parents.
During the event, Deputy Minister U Lu Mon highlighted the theme of World Post Day, “150 years of enabling communication and empowering peoples across nations”, and commitment to continue offering postal services in the long run.
Then, the video message delivered by the UPU director-general on World Post Day occasion and video clip marking the ceremony and activities of Myanma Post were screened, and the deputy minister presented awards to the first, second and third prize winners of the 53rd International Letter-Writing Competition (local) under 15. After the ceremony, the Deputy ministers cordially greeted the attendees and observed the booths.
