ACCORDING to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Myanmar Ambassador to Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, and the EU U Soe Lynn Han highlighted Myanmar’s investment prospects at the 14th Europe-Africa Investment Forum, held in Brussels, Belgium, from 3 to 4 October.

Speaking alongside Mr Junior Lodge, Deputy Secretary-General of the Organization of African, Caribbean, and Pacific States (OACPS), and ambassadors from countries such as Congo, Mali, and Burkina Faso, U Soe Lynn Han delivered a presentation titled “Investing in Myanmar: Overview of the Investment Potentials.” He detailed the investment opportunities in Myanmar and emphasized sectors that could foster trade between Myanmar and African countries.

The forum, organized by the Brussels-based Credassur Group with support from the OACPS Secretariat, sought to create connections between European and African businesses. Prior to the event, U Soe Lynn Han gave an interview to Chairperson Ms Esther Misheng Mbidi of the Credassur Group at the Myanmar Embassy on 2 October to highlight Myanmar’s involvement and the potential for economic collaboration with OACPS member nations.

During the forum, the Myanmar Embassy in Brussels set up an exhibition booth featuring products such as Myanmar rice, lacquerware, jade, and handmade cotton items. Embassy staff provided information on these products and explained Myanmar’s tourism, trade, and investment opportunities to visitors.
