Senior General Min Aung Hlaing instructed officials to take lessons from recent incidents and systematically conduct research on the construction of buildings at a far distance from the waterway where flash floods occur.

Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing accompanied by SAC member Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) General Maung Maung Aye, Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Vice-Admiral Htein Win and senior Tatmadaw officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief and officials inspected the military headquarters in Tatkon station and presented relief supplies yesterday morning.

The Senior General guaranteed that necessary assistance would be given for loss and damage.

He continued that, first and foremost, officials need to clear up debris in flooding and route blockades in rehabilitation measures.

As the second priority, he added that it is necessary to emphasize water and power supply processes and then take rehabilitation measures.

He stressed the need for families to buy basic foodstuffs at reduced prices to ensure family convenience.

The Senior General fulfilled the needs of Tatmadaw members and families who faced the impacts of flash floods. He then presented foodstuffs and clothes to families.

The Senior General comforted Tatmadaw members receiving medical treatment at the clinic of the local military command for their injuries in flash floods and presented foodstuffs.

The Senior General inspected the damage to Mon Creek Bridge triggered by torrential water. Officials reported that trees, logs, and stones caused damage to the bridge. The Senior General gave necessary guidance and viewed relief measures being taken.

He then visited the damaged staff housings of the local military headquarters and gave words of encouragement to families.

He viewed round removal of silt and debris in the basic education high school and instructed officials to reopen the school as soon as possible.

The senior general viewed round damage and loss of roads, bridges, and buildings in the military station during the flash floods and left necessary instructions.
