BEYOND Nay Pyi Taw and large cities like Yangon, Mandalay, Bago and Ayeyawady, rice millers, shops, and depots across Myanmar have been selling rice (Shwebo Pawsan, Ayeyawady Pawsan and Aemahta rice varieties) at affordable prices, Myanmar Rice Federation released a statement on 28 June.

Additionally, shopping centres, supermarkets, and mini-marts have resumed sales with consumer packs in line with the set reference prices, which are much cheaper than the previous rates.

Moreover, rice will be distributed through door-to-door service (direct delivery to home) in Yangon, Mandalay and Nay Pyi Taw at affordable rates.
