KAYIN State Chief Minister U Saw Myint Oo inspected progress of Taunggale extended urban housing project on 928.93 acres of land comprising over 5,400 land plots in Hpa-an township on 22 June.
Currently, over 310 houses have been constructed in the project areas that included departmental offices, staff housings, school, market, park, highway station, sports ground and cemetery.
First, the Chief Minister heard the reports presented by Hpa-an District Administrator U Aung Lwin and relevant officials regarding the action plans conducted in different financial years, construction of road, culverts, facilities of power system and access to water.
The Chief Minister made proper instructions, and proceed to the construction site of Government Technical Institute (Hpa-an).
At the school hall, the Principal of GTI (Hpa-an) reported on completion of school buildings, hostels, school enrollments and categories of certificate.
Then, the Chief Minister went to Htoo Myat Thitsar self-reliant library that features over 3,000 copies of books in Htoogon model village at the foot of Taungwine Hill, and the founder of library U Saw Tin Maung Sein explained the history of library, and the Chief Minister highlighted the key role of reading habit.
Then, the Chief Minister provided K300,000, books and publications to the library.
