Asian Games Fun Run held to promote 19th Asian Games

AN ASIAN Games Fun Run was held at the athletics ground in Kyaikkasan Grounds under the Institute of Sports and Physical Education, Yangon, yesterday morning.

Myanmar Olympic Com¬mittee General Secretary Depu¬ty Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs U Myo Hlaing, Cultural Attaché from Chinese Embassy Mr Peng Fong, Director-Gen-eral U Tun Myint Oo of the De¬partment of Sports and Phys¬ical Education, officials from relevant departments, invited persons and athletes attended the event.

The deputy minister and officials watched and encour¬aged the 1.4-kilometre races for above 13 boy’s event, a 1.4-km race for above 13 girl’s event, a 400-metre race for U-13 boy’s and girl’s and a 100-metre race for disabled males and females.

Afterwards, the winning athletes for relevant races were awarded by officials respective¬ly.
