DRUGS were seized in Dawei, Kyaikhto and Mingaladon townships, Myanmar Police Force stated.

A combined team consisting of members of the Anti-Drug Police Force stopped and examined a motorbike driven by Zaw Lwin Lay at the bridge checkpoint in Pauktaine village of Dawei township and captured 51,480 stimulant tablets, 0.06 kilogramme of Ice with K105,000 at 7 am on 11 August.

In addition, Myanmar Police Force stopped and searched a Toyota Avanza car driven by Sai Aung Hla (aka) Sai Aung Latt and seized 200,000 stimulant tablets at the Mayanchaung Checkpoint of Kyaikto township at 2 pm on the same day.

Similarly, at 10 am on the same day, Myanmar Police Force examined suspect Zin Min Htun at the Aungmingala Express Bus Terminal in Mingaladon township and impounded 10,000 stimulant tablets.

The suspects are prosecuted under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law.
