STIMULANT tablets and drugs were seized in Phakant, Kyaukse and Lashio townships, according to the Myanmar Police Force.

On 17 June, a combined team consisting of members of the Anti-Drug Police Force searched a motorcycle driven by Ma Jar Sai Buu along with Ma Aye Pwint, on the Phakant Highway Road near Seikmu Village of Seikmu Village-tract, Phakant Township and seized 17,100 stimulant tablets.

On the same day, a combined team consisting of members of the Anti-Drug Police Force stopped and examined a Mazda Familia passenger vehicle at the Thanywa Checkpoint near Kin Village, Kyauk se Township and confiscated 3,800 stimulant tablets from passenger Maung Win Ko at 3:30 pm.

Similarly, in Lashio Township, a combined team consisting of members of the Anti-Drug Police Force captured 1.87 kilogrammes of heroin from an Isuzu double cab vehicle driven by Kauk Sae together with Ma Kwan May, on the Lashio-Tangyan Highway near Hkarshi Village.

The suspects were prosecuted under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law, stated by the Myanmar Police Force.
