HEALTHCARE officials gave COVID-19 vaccine (Sinopharm) to internally displaced persons over the age of 18, at the relief camps of MraukU Township, MraukU district, Rakhine State, at 8 am yesterday.

 Public health staff from the township public health department; township administrators and officials and officials from the IDP camps assisted in the vaccination programme.

During the vaccination, healthcare workers and officials made records for the vaccinated people.

Next, volunteers and healthcare workers measured the body temperature before vaccination.

Vaccines were given systematically to internally displaced persons from Kyauk Yar Kay monastery IDP camp and Myo Oo Gaung IDP camp, and only those with normal health conditions are vaccinated, officials said.

After resting for about 30 minutes after being vaccinated, people were given healthcare education and then allowed to leave, officials said.

As of yesterday morning, 210 people over the age of 18 from two IDP camps in MraukU township have already received the Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccines.
