UNION Minister for Health and Sports Dr Thet Khaing Win pledged to provide allowances for the scholar degrees and the expenditure for the dinner to the staff serving at the whole night duty at the hospital, in meeting with staff of Pyay General Hospital on 15 May.

He made field trips to Aunglan Hospital in Magway Region and Pyay General Hospital in Bago Region.

The Union Minister also promised, saying that arrangements will be made for presenting the risk allowance for the staff serving at the sections of communicable disease and radiation. He also noted that vaccination of Covid-19 would be given to the persons who did not receive the first and second doses of vaccine as quickly as possible.

 On his inspection tour, the Union minister viewed round the inpatient wards and the emergency unit at Aunglan Hospital. In meeting with health staff and town elders, the Union minister said the ministry provides necessary medicines, including snake venom, to the hospital. He stressed the need to specially take care of preventive measures for variant Covid-19 virus not to enter the country.

He also looked into the emergency patient unit, operation theatre, orthopaedic ward and maternity ward of Pyay General Hospital. He inspected the progress of building the intensive care unit with the fund of the government.
