UNION Minister for Home Affairs and Union Government Office Lt-Gen Soe Htut met the police force members and their families yesterday morning in Lashio, Shan State.

The Union Minister dwelt on the circumstances of the State Administration Council’s emergence, current situations in the country, and future activities and objectives of the State Administration Council. Protests included terrorist attacks in the country in various ways.

He added incidents in which security forces acted as per the riot-control procedures under the law for the people who want peace and security.

The Union Minister instructed what to do and what to avoid for the police force members to pay attention to security procedures.

They should be united among the members and be careful to avoid spreading rumour, stressed the Union Minister before providing foodstuffs to the families.

The Union Minister also met the state/district/township/ward administration council and bodies’ members. He then discussed the country’s current situation and future activities and objectives of the State Administration Council. The Union Minister highlighted the riots and acts of the terrorist organizations that happened in the country. He called for plans to strengthen the rule of law further before coordinating the meeting.
