THE leading committee, working committee, and sub-committee on conferring religious titles organized a coordination meeting yesterday. They are convening the religious titles conferring ceremony under the State Administration Council’s guidance in May’s first week in Nay Pyi Taw.
During the meeting, Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture, in his capacity as Chairman of the Leading Committee, said he submitted proposals to Venerable Sayadaws to hold the ceremony of conferring religious titles in line with the instructions of SAC in proper condition. However, the ceremony was postponed to present religious tiles to 127 lay devotees for various reasons.
