MILITARY columns, which will participate in the parade of the 76th Anniversary of Armed Forces Day that falls on 27 March, took part in the full-dress parade at Nay Pyi Taw parade ground yes-terday morning. Anawyahtar, Kyansitthar, Bayintnaung, Aungzayya, Hsinbyushin, Bandoola and Aung San columns led by Parade Commander Maj-Gen Soe Min Oo marched into the parade ground on the parade agenda by singing marching songs in chorus to the accompaniment of the Tatmadaw military band.Together with Vice-Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win, Council members General Mya Tun Oo, Lt-Gen Soe Htut, senior military officers including Chairman of the Leading Com-mittee for Observance of the Armed Forces Day Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) General Maung Maung Aye, Chairman of the Management Committee for Observance of the Armed Forces Day Commander of Nay Pyi Taw Command Maj-Gen Zaw Myo Tin and officials inspected full-dress rehearsal of the military columns. After the parade, the Vice-Senior General attended to the needs in coordi-nation with officials. Officers and other ranks from Tatmadaw (Army, Navy and Air) and Myanmar Police Forces, female members, members of Navy Seals, the female member of special operation task forces, troop of heavy machinery corps from the Tatmadaw (Army and Navy) and aircraft from the Tatmadaw (Air) participated in the parade rehearsal. Those mem-bers wore badges and uniforms used by the Myanmar Tatmadaw in successive eras from the independence struggle to 2020, holding military weapons and today’s modern weapons used in successive eras for portraying silver, golden and diamond jubilee eras.
