U Chit Khaing, Chairman of Aden Group of Companies donated $1.5 million for COVID-19 vaccination fund raised by the National Committee on COVID-19 Prevention, Control and Treatment yesterday.

Regarding the donation, U Chit Khaing said, “I donated as much as I can while all the people are facing COVID-19 pandemic. The government also welcomes such cash contribution. I want to urge everybody to make whatever amount of donation for the people in protecting them from the risks of COVID-19 pandemic. I also wish that our country could overcome COVID-19 pandemic soon.”

The donors can transfer any type of foreign currency into Foreign Currency Account No EDC 600012. The local donors can also donate at Myanmar Currency Account No OA 013733 at Myanma Economic Bank in Nay Pyi Taw.

The Ministry of Planning, Finance and Industry announced that the government had raised the initial fund of K1 billion and US$250 million to purchase COVID-19 vaccines for the country.
