The 2020 nationwide general elections began at 6 am yesterday, and members of the Tatmadaw and their families cast their votes at respective polling stations following health guidelines.

Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior-General Min Aung Hlaing and wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla cast their votes in-person at the Zeyarthiri Polling Station-1 in Zeyathiri Township yesterday morning.

Similarly, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice Senior-General Soe Win and wife Daw Than Than Nwe, Union ministers of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Border Affairs and their wives, senior military officers, wives and family members voted for the 2020 General Election.

Meanwhile, commanders, officers and other ranks, and families in military commands and battalions nationwide also cast their vote in the general elections at respective polling stations, according to the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services.
