AMYOTHA Hluttaw Speaker Mahn Win Khaing Than attended the 65th Anniversary of Kayin State Day at the Kayin State Government Office in Hpa-an, Kayin State yesterday.
Kayin State Hluttaw Speaker U Saw Chit Khin, accompanied by Kayin State Chief Justice U Saw San Lin and Chairperson of Kayin State Election Sub-commission U Mahn Kyaw Win Maung, presided over the event which was organized in accordance with COVID-19 guidelines of the Ministry of Health and Sports.
The Amyotha Hluttaw Speaker, Kayin State Chief Minister Daw Nan Khin Htwe Myint, Kayin State Hluttaw Speaker U Saw Chit Khin, Member of Union Election Commission (Kayin/Mon in-charge) U Saw Daniel Kyi, Kayin State Chief Justice U Saw San Lin, Kayin State cabinet members, Chairperson of Kayin State Election Sub-commission U Mahn Kyaw Win Maung, political parties, commission members, State-level departmental officials and peace delegates saluted the State flag and paid tributes to General Aung San and the fallen martyrs.
Afterwards, Kayin State Hluttaw Speaker U Saw Chit Khin made an opening remark, and Kayin State Chief Minister Daw Nan Khin Htwe Myint read the Message of Greetings on the occasion of the 65th Anniversary celebrations of Kayin State Day sent by President U Win Myint.
This year’s Kayin State Day celebration was not largely held like previous years as it was convened in accordance with COVID-19 guidelines of the Ministry of Health and Sports.
