UNION Minister for Industry Dr Charlie Than, accompanied by directors-general, managing directors, and officials, visited the solar panel and related equipment assembly and manufacturing plant of New Stellar Energy MM Co Ltd in Dekkhinathiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory, yesterday morning.

During the inspection, the Union minister stated that the ministry will closely supervise the installation work to ensure it is completed on time, systematically, and in line with current needs, while the company must prepare checklists to support timely project completion and strive to make its products competitive in both price and quality with similar imported goods. He also stated that the State is promoting the development of agricultural-based industries by using solar energy for irrigation and crop drying, emphasizing the need to begin solar panel installation and production promptly, while coordinating and addressing the submissions of company officials.

The Union minister then toured the construction site of a plant for assembling and manufacturing solar panel and related equipment, as well as the completed factory for assembling and manufacturing electric vehicles using the SKD system.

New Stellar Energy MM Co Ltd’s solar panel and related equipment assembly and manufacturing plant, launched on 25 July, is expected to begin production in January 2026, and it will assemble and produce high-quality solar panels, inverters, batteries, and PV brackets upon completion.
