UNION Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn and Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs U Min Thein Zan inspected the students’ performance rehearsal for the opening ceremony of the Fifth National Sports Festival at Wunna Theikdi Stadium in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
Union Ministers first viewed the rehearsal dancing of 320 high school students.
Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn then said there is just one month left to hold the national sports festival, and the performance of students plays a vital role in the opening and closing events of the sports festival. The performance with the ‘Hla Pa Chit Saya Doh Shwe Myanmar’ song is the opening performance after a countdown of freefall. Moreover, the closing event will be made with the ‘Shwe Pyi Taw Thoe Doh Atu’’ song. The festival will start with a gratitude song for the opening and an energetic song for the closing. Moreover, the efforts of students are essential for opening and closing events like festivals, which are crucial for the country. The performance is a symbol of the cooperation and creativity of youths.
Moreover, difficulties in preparations should be reported to officials in a timely manner. Students also should care for health and education. All should participate happily following the disciplines with national spirit for the successful holding of the festival.
Union Minister U Min Thein Zan also comforted the students by making them proud of their participation in such a grand festival and highlighted the special focus of the government on the youth sector. Union Ministers then warmly greeted the trainers from the Fine Arts Department, supervisor teachers from basic education high schools and students and provided them with cash assistance.
The Fifth National Sports Festival 2024 will include ministries-level competitions, state and regional-level competitions and para-sports competitions. The opening and closing ceremonies will also be held at the national level on the grandest scale.
