State Administration Council Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, currently in Chongqing, met Mr Yuan Jiajun, Central Committee Member of the Communist Party of China and Secretary of the Chongqing Municipal Party Committee, at Yuzhou Hotel in Chongqing, China, yesterday evening.

Mr Yuan Jiajun warmly welcomed the Senior General, and both parties had a commemorative photo session to mark the occasion.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on the progress of Chongqing, which is situated in a strategic location, the starting point of the Myanmar-Chongqing economic cooperation from the visit of Myanmar Prime Minister, further collaboration with Myanmar depending on advantages of technologies and strategic transport system of Chongqing, science and technological cooperation, cultural exchange, promotion of education and tourism sectors.

SAC Council Joint Secretary General Ye Win Oo, officials, the Myanmar ambassador to China and the Chinese ambassador to Myanmar were also present at the meeting.

After the meeting, the Senior General and Mr Yuan Jiajun cordially greeted the attendees.

The Senior General and his entourage then joined the dinner hosted by Mr Yuan Jiajun.

 The Senior General and his entourage will continue their visits to significant sites, factories, industries and universities in Chongqing, the People’s Republic of China.
