The 14th collective blood donation event of the Myanma Posts and Telecommunications under the Ministry of Transport and Communications was held yesterday at the Nay Pyi Taw General Hospital (1,000-bed). Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister General Mya Tun Oo, Union Minister for Health Dr Thet Khaing Win, deputy ministers and heads of department attended the ceremony.

Staff of the Ministry of Transport and Communications in Nay Pyi Taw and volunteers totalling 35 donated blood, and Union ministers, deputy ministers and heads of department encouraged and provided foodstuffs and medicines.

The Union minister for the Ministry of Health presented certificates of appreciation to blood donors, and the Deputy Prime Minister returned gifts.

The nationwide collective blood donation events of the Myanma Posts Telecommunications were organized in Nay Pyi Taw, Yangon, Mandalay, Magway and Shan State (East). A total of 210 blood donors donated blood at relevant hospitals and blood centres nationwide for the 14th time.
