THE Pyithu Hluttaw’s 15th regular session held its 9th day meeting yesterday, with questions to the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement, the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Health and Sports and the Ministry of Construction.
The MPs also discussed preparing the ASEAN Free Trade Agreement (AFTA) in implementing the ASEAN Economic Community.
The Hluttaw also approved recommendations of Bill Committee for bylaws of Pyithu Hluttaw Election, Amyotha Hluttaw Election and State/Region Hluttaw Election.

THE 15th regular session of Amyotha Hluttaw held its 9th day meeting yesterday, and the questions of MPs were answered by the Deputy Ministers from the Ministry of Electricity and Energy, the Ministry of Planning, Finance and Industry, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation and the Ministry of Health and Sports.
MP U Soe Thein from Kayah  State constituency 9 asked about the number of petrol filling stations in Yangon, licensing policy for the stations and regulations for safety measures against natural disasters.

THE second Pyidaungsu Hluttaw held its 10th day meeting of 15th regular session yesterday, discussing urban restructuring plan and hearing reports of the Union Legal Aid Board and National Education Policy Commission.

It also voted for taking the loan from the Economic Development Cooperation Fund (EDCF) of South Korea.

Speaker of Amyotha Hluttaw Mahn Win Khaing Than received Chair Mrs Renate Kunast of the German-ASEAN Parliamentary Friendship Group at the Hluttaw Guest Hall in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
During the meeting, they cordially discussed strengthening bilateral friendship between Myanmar and Germany, ongoing assistances, legislation and election matters including participation of more women in the coming election.

Deputy Speaker U Tun Tun Hein of the Pyithu Hluttaw received Chair Mrs Renate Kunast of the German-ASEAN Parliamentary Friendship Group at the Hluttaw Guest Hall in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning.
During the meeting, they cordially exchanged the views on the enhancement of bilateral relations and cooperation between Germany and Myanmar, the Hanns Seidel Foundation’s assistance to Myanmar Parliament, democracy, human rights and elections in Myanmar, the improvement of bilateral trade and investment and legislation process of Myanmar Parliament among others.

The second Amyotha Hluttaw held its 8th day meeting of 15th regular session yesterday, hearing reports on nationwide plans for preparedness and response to earthquakes.
MP U Tun Tun Oo from Mandalay Region constituency 2 asked about preparedness and response plans for earthquake to prevent serious losses amidst the unexpected disaster.

The 8th day of Pyithu Hluttaw’s 15th regular session was held yesterday, with raising queries to the Ministry of Labour, Immigration and Population and the Ministry of Home Affairs, and heard an amendment bill for the Law Protecting Privacy and Security of Citizens.
