Myanmar athletes are heading to Thailand to compete in the XXXIII South-East Asia Games, hosted across Bangkok, Chonburi, and Chiang Mai. The national delegation includes competitors in men’s volleyball, boxing, archery, wushu, pencak silat, e-sports, and women’s weightlifting. Officials and coaches accompanied the athletes as they departed from Yangon by air yesterday morning.

Under the ASEAN Plus Three Emergency Rice Reserve (APTERR) Programme-3 (2025), Myanmar yesterday signed four Memoranda of Agreement (MoAs) concerning additional rice donations for earthquake-affected communities. The agreements cover 3,000 tonnes of rice from the Republic of Korea and 275 tonnes from the People’s Republic of China, as well as rice contributions under the regular programme of 2,000 tonnes from the Republic of Korea and 375 tonnes from China.
