1. The Ministry of Health and Sports is closing monitoring the outbreak of COVID-19, with conducting surveillance at international gateways and at the hospitals in the forms of people-centered investigation and in coordination with private hospital.
2. From 8 pm 23 February 2020 to 8 pm 24 February 2020, no new case was confirmed for the situation of under investigation.

1. The Ministry of Health and Sports has been conducting surveillance activities on the COVID-19 acute respiratory disease, which has spread through-out China and some countries around the world, at international entry-exit checkpoints, hospital-based, community-based and in cooperation with private hospitals.
2. There have been no new patients for sur- veillance of the COVID-19 disease as of 8 p.m. from 20-2-2020 to 8 p.m of 21-2-2020.

The Department of Public Health under the Ministry of Health and Sports is taking priority over monitoring and responding to communicable diseases, especially the recent outbreak of 2019 Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) which was first identified in Wuhan City of Peoples Republic of China, advising people in Myanmar to take up the following suggestions.

1. President U Win Myint has received the final report of the Independent Commission of Enquiry (ICOE). The Commission was established by the Office of the President on 30 July 2018 to investigate the allegations of human rights violations in Rakhine during the internal armed conflict between Myanmar’s Defence Services and the Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA) in 2016-17.

1. At the invitation of U Win Myint, President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, His Excellency Mr. Xi Jinping, President of the People’s Republic of China, paid a State Visit to Myanmar from 17 to 18 January 2020.
2. President Mr. Xi Jinping and the Chinese delegation arrived at the Nay Pyi Taw International Airport by special flight in the afternoon of 17 January 2020. The President was welcomed by Vice President U Myint Swe, Union Ministers and responsible officials at the Nay Pyi Taw International Airport.
