THE Chinese search and rescue teams, including 253 doctors and nurses, who are diligently working to provide humanitarian assistance and support rehabilitation efforts in Myanmar’s earthquake-affected areas, departed for China by air from Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning.
They were seen off at Nay Pyi Taw Tatmadaw Airport by Union Minister for Home Affairs Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung, who is also the Vice-Chair of the National Disaster Management Committee, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman U Than Tun Oo, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs U Lwin Oo, and departmental officials.
