A 70-year-old man named U Win Aung, who resides in Yangon, won K500 million at the 57th Aungbarlay Lottery with Gagyi-234598. Similarly, the other grand prizes, the K200 million lottery, were won by Kha-464483 and the K100 million lottery by Hsa-356896, respectively, according to the Aungbarlay Lottery Department. The K500 million lottery winner, U Win Aung, bought the 10-ticket lottery pack from the Khaing Shwewah lottery outlet. On 30 November, the Internal Revenue Department of the Ministry of Planning and Finance stated that K5,680 million was obtained from sale of Aungbarlay lottery tickets, and the sale proceeds of K3,900 billion were shared as prizes.

According to the Myanmar Tourism Federation (MTF), a total of 250,000 foreign visitors entered the country during the eleven months of this year. MTF stated that there were 245,000 foreign tourists from January to 22 November this year. As stated on the MTF lists, there were about 12,000 foreign visitors in 2021 and 87,000 in 2022. Among the foreign tourists arriving in Myanmar, tourists from China and Thailand were the largest amounts, and the number of Thai visitors increased to over 40,000 this year. Guests from China, Thailand, Viet Nam, Cambodia and other ASEAN countries are reportedly invited for the six-month tourist season starting from October 2023 to March 2024.
