THE opening ceremony of the Inter-Region/State traditional martial arts (Myanma Thaing) contest 2023 marking Diamond Jubilee Independence Day was organized at Wunna Theikdi Gymnasium B in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning.
The event was attended by State Administration Council members Daw Aye Nu Sein, Jeng Phang Naw Taung and U Shwe Kyein, Union Minister U Min Thein Zan of the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs, deputy ministers, officials from the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs, President U Ye Myint and officials from the Myanma Thaing Federation (MTF) and managers, coaches and athletes.
The martial arts competition will be conducted from 30 December 2022 to 1 January 2023 and a total of 14 teams from regions and states will participate in the contest.
