SAC Member Mahn Nyein Maung, in his speech, said that the development of the transport sector, a key requirement for the development of a region, is being prioritized by the government to advance the standard of living for Myanmar nationals. He requested the officials to cooperate and point out the need for the use of public funds for the implementation of projects and whether it is beneficial for the region or not.

The region had to rely mainly on the sea route before. Thus, the upgrading and construction works for roads and bridges are being done to facilitate transport between regions, he added.
