DOOR-TO-DOOR water distribution system launching ceremony with water meters using Ngwe Taung Dam water was organized at Magyigon Village of Maungtaw Township in Rakhine State yesterday.
First, the District Head of Rural Development Department U Oo Saw Tun explained the water distribution processes adding that the department utilized the K116.365 million Union Budget to provide water to seven villages and K318.516 million of Rakhine State budget for 22 villages during the six-month mini-budget period of the 2021-2022FY. Currently, the Kissapanadi Nadi Hlaing Company conducted the door-to-door water distribution system using a K30.840 million budget and it can benefit 730 people of 140 houses. He then instructed the need to sustain the system and one town elder expressed words of thanks on behalf of villagers.
Then, District Administration body Chairman U Nay Oo, District Administration body member Colonel Kyaw Thu Win and District Head U Oo Saw Tun cut the ribbon to launch the ceremony. They inspected the use of water meters in the villages together with the attendees to the ceremony.
