THE 5th Meeting of the Task Force to facilitate the provision of Humanitarian Assistance to Myanmar through the AHA Centre (ASEAN Coordinating Centre for Humanitarian Assistance on Disaster Management) was held at 2:00 pm hrs on 11 March 2022 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nay Pyi Taw.

The Meeting was chaired by U Ko Ko Hlaing, Union Minister for International Cooperation and Chairman of Myanmar Task Force. The Meeting was also attended by Vice-Chairpersons of Task Force, Dr Thet Khaing Win, Union Minister for Health and Dr Thet Thet Khine, Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement and members of Myanmar Task Force from respective ministries.

During the Meeting, Union Minister U Ko Ko Hlaing led the discussions on matters related to the provision of humanitarian assistance from ASEAN to Myanmar through the AHA Centre, as well as on matters related to distribution of humanitarian assistance on prioritized areas and needs.

The Task Force Vice-Chairpersons, Union Ministers and members also exchanged views on the preparation for swift and smooth implementation of the provision of humanitarian assistance for Phase-2.
