THE 33rd Executive Committee Meeting of the ASEAN War Veterans Association and 20th General Assembly were convened yesterday morning by a video conference chaired by the Vietnam Veterans Association.

Chairpersons, Vice-Chairpersons and delegations from 10 ASEAN member countries, four Myanmar delegation members led by Lt-Gen Sein Win (Retd), Chairman of the Central Executive Committee of the Myanmar War Veterans Association, attended the meeting.

The 33rd Executive Committee Meeting was chaired by Lieutenant- General (Retired) Nguyen Song Phi, Vice-Chairman of the Vietnam Veterans Association, at 8 am.

At the Executive Committee meeting, 10 resolutions proposed to be submitted to the 20th General Assembly were reviewed and approved.

The 20th General Assembly was chaired by Senior Lieutenant -General (Retired) Nguyen Van Duoc, Chairman of the Vietnam Veterans Association, at 1 pm. At the conference, the decisions of the 33rd Executive Committee meeting were approved and the chairmanship was handed over to the Thai Veterans Association.
