DEPUTY Minister for Construction U Myo Myint, accompanied by members of the Chin State Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Commit­tee, inspected road pro­jects, government offices and staff housing in Haka, Chin State, on 8 July.

He first visited the Mission School on Tat­kon Hill, where he paid respects to senior monks and made donations. He then inspected the road-widening work on the Monywa (Nyaungbingy­i)-Pale-Gangaw-Haka Road between kilometre markers 313.460 and 313.580, instructing offi­cials to ensure workplace safety, improve drainage, prevent landslides and complete the project on schedule.

The deputy minister also inspected depart­mental offices and staff housing, urging timely maintenance and the pro­vision of necessary facili­ties for civil servants. At a meeting with officials from the Building Depart­ment, Road Department and Department of Urban and Housing Develop­ment, he called on staff to follow civil service regula­tions and SOPs, maintain professionalism, improve their skills and perform their duties responsibly.
