U Tin Maung Swe, Union Minister for Foreign Affairs, received Dr Md Monwar Hossain, Ambassador of Bangladesh to Myanmar, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw on 9 June 2026.

They discussed matters relating to enhancing cooperation in mutually beneficial areas as well as cooperation in the repatriation process for displaced persons from Rakhine State based on good neighbourliness and genuine goodwill. Moreover, the Myanmar side updated the current verification status on the list provided by Bangladesh and discussed cooperation on the repatriation of displaced persons who have been verified as former residents in Rakhine State.
