Frontline Tatmadaw members who successfully carried out security measures in Thingan-Nyinaung and Kawkareik Township, Kayin State, were warmly welcomed back by Eastern Command Commander Brig-Gen Kyaw Naing Oo, relevant officials, and residents at the local battalion in Kalaw Township of southern Shan State yesterday.

Troops were honoured for restoring security, stability and peace for the ethnic people in different regions and states. The commander and party welcomed back the victorious Tatmadaw members with sprigs of Eugenia, including traditional dance and music performances. The commander presented cash prizes to the victorious Tatmadaw members. — MNA/KZL
