National Security Adviser and Union Minister for the Ministry 1 of the President’s Office U Tin Aung San received the Russian delegation led by Russian Security Council Secretary Mr Sergei Shoigu, who is currently in Myanmar at the invitation of the Union Minister, in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
The two sides exchanged views on cooperation among security councils, special forces, and law enforcement agencies, on collaboration in information security, including combating cybercrime, countering attempts to interfere with the internal affairs of sovereign states, and on matters related to bilateral cooperation and training courses. They also exchanged commemorative gifts.
The Russian delegation then visited Maravijaya Buddha Image, donated flowers, water and oil lamps and observed around the Buddha Park.
In the evening, Union Minister U Tin Aung San hosted a dinner for the Russian delegation at Jasmine Naypyitaw Hotel.
At the Jasmine Naypyitaw Hotel, Deputy Minister for Transport and Communications U Thet Win Aung met Russian Deputy Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media Mr Andrey Zarenin, whereas Police Chief Police Lt-Gen Win Zaw Moe with Russian Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Mr Igor Zubov and Deputy Director of the Federal Service of the National Guard Mr Oleg Plohoy, Police Brig-Gen Zaw Lin Tun of the Ministry of Home Affairs with Deputy Director of the Federal Financial Monitoring Service Mr Evgeny Gileta, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Science and Technology Dr Sai Kyaw Naing Oo with Rosatom’s International Projects Department Head Ms Marina Belyaeva, respectively.
