THE Embassy of Myanmar to Japan said in a statement that the passport processing has been unavailable at present, and those who want their passports back for an emergency can contact the consular services counter’s email.

The machine issuing passports of the embassy has been in trouble with some errors, and the embassy has now managed to fix it as soon as possible, it said. For passport renewal applications, either in person or by post, the embassy has requested applicants to wait for a while. It added that it will make further timely announcements regarding the resumption of passport processing.
