THE Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs, intending to encourage individual participation, improve national health and fitness, and raise the standard of Myanmar sports, held the “2025 December Mass Sports Activity Commemoration Walk” at 5:45 am yesterday at Wunna Theikdi Stadium in Nay Pyi Taw.

The walk was joined by Union-level dignitaries, Union ministers, deputy ministers, the deputy auditor-general, members of the Union Civil Service Board, members of the Nay Pyi Taw Council, judges of the Supreme Court of the Union, department heads and officials, staff, and their family members, amounting to nearly 4,000 participants who took part enthusiastically and cheerfully.

The event was opened by U Htein Lin, Deputy Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs. Participants started at Gate 1 of Wunna Theikdi Stadium and walked along the designated route to Gate A. Staff from the Department of Sports and Physical Education demonstrated Physical Fitness Exercises 1 and 2, as well as Physical Fitness Dance exercises. Participants actively took part in the walk, and officials from the department distributed bottled water and snacks.

The walk will be held every Saturday in December, and Union ministers, deputy ministers, ministry personnel, and their family members are expected to continue participating.
