The government uncovers and deports the foreigners, who illegally entered the KK Park area in Myawady township of Kayin State through border routes passing through some neighbouring countries, including Thailand, to conduct online fraud, gambling and criminal activities, in accordance with the laws. Moreover, the government demolished the buildings where these illegal entrants resided.

In the KK Park area, there were a total of 148 buildings: a one-storey building, 80 two-storey buildings, eight three-storey buildings, 27 four-storey buildings, one nine-storey building, four two-storey buildings, two four-storey buildings for shops and residence, one two-storey building for a restaurant and residence, 12 warehouses, one six-storey hotel, one gym, one two-storey KTV, one two-storey SPA, one four-storey hospital, two two-storey canteens, two two-storey market buildings and three three-storey buildings for residence.

Moreover, there were parks, stadiums, futsal courts, Sepak Takraw courts and basketball courts. Currently, all the buildings are being demolished, and 101 buildings have been demolished, and the remaining 47 buildings are in progress.

More than 90 per cent of the foreigners who illegally entered the area through border routes and engaged in online gambling and other criminal activities entered Myanmar by crossing the border via Thailand.

The government investigates and takes action against those involved in online scams and online gambling, not only in Kayin State but also in the northeast and east of Shan State.

It also actively engaged with the regional countries, neighbouring countries and international organizations to take actions against those who participate in online scam centres and other offenders.

Between 30 January and 5 November 2025, a total of 10,762 illegal immigrants were identified and detained in Myanmar. Of this number, 9,403 individuals have already been deported through Thailand to their respective countries, while arrangements are being made to deport the remaining 1,359 individuals. These individuals are currently under detention while awaiting repatriation.
