Acting President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received a delegation led by Mr Evgeny Grigoryev, Member of the Government of Saint Petersburg and Chairman of the Committee for External Relations of the Government of Saint Petersburg of the Russian Federation, at the Tatmadaw Guest House in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday afternoon.

At the meeting, they cordially exchanged views on friendly relations between Myanmar and Russia, improvement of cooperation, further plans of cooperation, and promotion of cooperation in all sectors, including the sectors of economy, health, technology, culture, tourism, youth and construction.

After the meeting, the Acting President and SSPC Chairman of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and the Member of the Government of Saint Petersburg and Chairman of the Committee for External Relations of the Government of Saint Petersburg of the Russian Federation exchanged commemorative gifts.

Also, present at the meeting were Commission Secretary and Joint Executive Chief General Ye Win Oo, Union Minister for Health Dr Thet Khaing Win, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs U Ko Ko Kyaw and officials.

The Russian delegation leader and party were accompanied by Mr Iskander Azizov, Ambassador of the Embassy of the Russian Federation to Myanmar and delegation members.
