The 105th Myanmar Motion Pictures Day and 48th Respect-Paying Ceremony for film industry elders took place at the office of Myanmar Motion Pictures Organization in Bahan Township of Yangon yesterday.
Deputy Minister for Information U Ye Tint, Yangon Region Ethnic Affairs Minister U Saw Jacob Htoo, MMPO Chair U Kyi Soe Tun and relevant officials cut the ribbon to inaugurate the 105th Myanmar Motion Pictures Day.
They observed the shops in the MMPO compound.
During the 48th Respect-Paying Ceremony for film industry elders, the deputy minister presented K10 million donated by Acting President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and his wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla to U Aung Lwin, patron of MMPO, while K15 million donated by the region government, K3 million by the Ministry of Information, over K6.7million by Forever Group, K2 million by USDP (central), K1 million by region USDP and K2.8 million by Mingalar Cinema Shin Family.
The deputy minister and party paid respect to the elderly and concluded the event.
