Basic education schools in Nawnghkio Township, which had been closed for nearly a year due to terrorist attacks, reopened on 25 July 2025. Students have resumed classes, and school enrolment activities continue. Today, three further basic education schools reopened, bringing the total number of operational schools in the township to 78. An additional 455 students were enrolled, raising the total number of students attending classes peacefully to 9,672.
Also, the township’s general hospital, which had been damaged by terrorist acts, has been repaired and reopened on 2 August to provide healthcare services to local ethnic communities. Today, the hospital provided necessary medical examinations and treatments to 38 outpatients for illnesses such as influenza, measles, and general diseases. Blood type testing was conducted for 36 residents, and malaria testing was carried out for three residents. Meanwhile, 34 residents received inpatient medical care. Medical teams continue to deliver essential healthcare services to the community.
