Myanmar detained 19 Filipinos, one Chinese, one Ethiopian and one Indian, totalling 22 individuals, involved in telecom fraud and other criminal activities in Kayin State yesterday.
Between 30 January and 26 July 2025, a total of 9,321 illegal immigrants were identified and detained in Myanmar. Of this number, 9,060 individuals have already been deported from Thailand to their respective countries, while arrangements are being made to deport the remaining 261 individuals. These individuals are currently under detention while awaiting repatriation.

The government is strictly cracking down on online scams and online gambling by cooperating with relevant countries.
