ON the occasion of the 70th Anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and the Lao People’s Democratic Republic which falls on 12 July 2025, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, Chairman of the State Administration Council, Prime Minister of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, exchanged congratulatory messages with Mr Thongloun Sisoulith, President of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic and Mr Sonexay Siphandone, Prime Minister of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic.

On the same occasion, Vice-Senior General Soe Win, Vice-Chairman of the State Administration Council, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, exchanged a congratulatory message with Mrs Pany Yathotou, Vice-President of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic.

On the same occasion, U Than Swe, Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, exchanged a congratulatory message with Mr Thongsavanh Phomvihane, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic.
