MYANMAR Red Cross Society (MRCS) provided K21.85 million to earthquake-stricken 437 households in Pinlaung Township, southern Shan State, on 17-18 May 2025, with K50,000 per household.

Women’s and men’s health and personal care items, mosquito nets, blankets, tarpaulin, clothes and kitchen utensils are also provided to each household. Mattresses for 30 elders above 65 years old and housing materials to 52 wholly damaged houses were also distributed. MRCS is exerting their efforts to reach out its a helping hand to the various regions that were battered by the earthquake. — ASH/KK
