THE Myanmar Libraries Foundation held its Central Executive Committee meeting and book donation ceremony at the Foundation’s Hall in Yangon at 10 am yesterday.

Foundation Chairman U Nyunt Swe first delivered a speech, followed by donors who explained the purpose of their book donations. Chairman U Nyunt Swe then received the donated books and presented certificates of appreciation to the donors.

At the donation ceremony, Police Lt-Col (Retired) U Thein Htun (writer Sit Ye Eain) donated 200 books worth K1.6 million, and writer Saddhammajotikadhaja Pantaya Mya Kyi donated 50 books worth K750,000.

Following the donation event, the Central Executive Committee meeting was convened to discuss and coordinate future activities. Those wishing to donate cash and books may contact the secretary at 09 5142564 or the office head at 09 420700326.
